Jordan Lacey is a PhD candidate at SIAL Sound Studios in the School of Architecture & Design at RMIT University, researching Acoustic Ecology and Urban Soundscape Studies. He has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Music Industry), a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Management with options in the History and Philosophy of Science, and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education. He worked as a teacher in Australia and the UK for ten years. Jordan is a practicing sound artist and musician, with a performance history in Melbourne, Sydney and Darwin. He is currently engaged in the creation of sonic philosophies and soundscape compositions in a variety of contexts.
Lawrence Harvey is a Lecturer in the SIAL Sound Studios. His practice involves the research and production of large-scale electro-acoustic works for concerts and installations, and the development of new pedagogical techniques for sound based studies in architecture. As a composer and sound designer, he has worked collaboratively on projects in music, theatre, dance and virtual reality, mostly using spatial sound systems. His recent teaching work has involved the application of emerging games technologies for teaching architecture students soundscape studies.
